Information we process

• Google account information used to sign in, such as your verified email address and Google account identifier.
• Your profile and plan information, including date of birth, height, weight, goal, activity level, dietary preference and nutrition targets.
• Meals, edits, water and weight entries, plus any private meal or package photos you choose to scan.
• Messages sent to Eliz and any personal context you explicitly choose to save for that assistant.
• Limited operational records such as AI provider/model, request outcome, usage limits and security/audit events.

Why we use it

We use this information to provide your account, calculate and save your editable nutrition plan, analyse a photo you submit, show your history, enforce fair-use limits, protect the service and answer account or privacy requests. Mealighter provides estimates and general habit support; it does not provide diagnosis, treatment or medical advice.

AI and service providers

When you request an AI photo analysis or chat response, the necessary request content may be processed by Mealighter's AI providers, currently Google Gemini and NVIDIA NIM. AI results are editable estimates. We use hosting, storage and authentication providers to operate the service. We do not sell meal photos, health-related profile data or personal information for advertising.

Private photos and retention

Meal photos are stored outside the public web root and are available only through authenticated, authorised requests. We keep account data while your account is active. If you request deletion, we verify and review the request, then permanently remove the account and associated private photos as part of the deletion process, subject to limited records we must retain for security or legal obligations.

Your choices

In Mealighter, open Settings → Privacy & data to export your account data, request account deletion or cancel a pending deletion request. The export contains account, plan and logged data; photos are excluded from the downloadable export because they remain private. You may also change optional marketing consent from the app when available.

Security and changes

We use authenticated access controls and keep private uploads outside the public site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please use a strong Google account and protect your device. We may update this policy as the service changes; the date above shows the latest version.
